The Door County Maritime Museum & Lighthouse Preservation Society, Inc. preserves Great Lakes maritime history, primarily focusing on Door County, Wisconsin, and provides interpretive and educational opportunities for current and future generations. The Museum operates three locations, including the Door County Maritime Museum along the working waterfront in Sturgeon Bay; the iconic Cana Island Lighthouse in Baileys Harbor; and the Death's Door Maritime Museum in Gills Rock.

During the season, Cana Island is open 10am-5pm, Tuesday-Sunday, including the new Welcome & Interpretive center, keeper's quarters and outbuildings.
Due to staffing shortages, the lighthouse tower is open for climbs ONLY on Tuesday and Friday-Sunday.
Wear a mask in shared public spaces where social distancing is not consistently in place;.
Please note the high water has made crossing difficult in past years and we have to close during unsafe conditions.
You can check the Cana Island Lighthouse Facebook for closing notices or call 920-743-5958 to verify we are open.

Located four miles northeast of Baileys Harbor, halfway between North Bay and Moonlight Bay.
From Baileys Harbor, take Hwy 57 north 1/2 mile, turn right onto County Hwy Q. Proceed approx.
3.5 miles, turn right onto Cana Island Road.
Follow the road to where it ends at the lighthouse.
Small lighthouse signs will guide you along the way.
Please know that the lighthouse is located at the end of a narrow rustic road that runs through a residential area.
A parking lot is located on the SE corner of Cana Island Road and Cana Cove Road.
