Chisholm Door Corporation has been family owned and operated since 1954. The company was started by my father, and then handed down to me in 1984. My son, Brian, continued this family tradition and came into the business in 1995. We currently have 5 employees and three trucks on the road doing door installation and repairs. Our specialty is taking old swing-out garage doors and converting them into modern sectional overhead doors.

Make sure your opener has a reversing feature.
If a reversing feature is not present, it should be replaced.
Test the reversing feature every month.
With the door fully open, place a 1-1/2" thick piece of wood (a 2"x4" laid flat) on the flooring in the center of the door.
If you have a garage door opener, use the release mechanism so you can operate the door by hand when doing this test.
