Door County Bakery
At the Door County Bakery, it has been our objective to create a culinary point of destination in Door County. Our focus is to offer customers the best possible quality with regards to product as well as customer service and ambience. The DCB kitchen produces in house original recipes of European-Style breads and pastries, many of which are legally trademarked to DCB.

To augment this baking foundation, we have grown to embellish our enterprise with a breadth of international delicatessen entrees, specialty foods, wines and liquors, as well as a fabulous cappuccino bar, and two beautiful dining areas (indoors and outdoor patio) in which we offer delicious breakfast and lunch cuisine. Perhaps one might enjoy our DCB Bloody Mary or Breakfast Mimosa as well!

Commerce in Door County is based predominantly on tourism and is by and large seasonal. Many businesses here close entirely during the off season (November - April). In our case at DCB, we are among those who choose to remain open for business throughout the entire year in the belief that this ultimately benefits our entire local economy, as well as those who come to the county to enjoy the various winter activities and festivals.

The next time you visit the Door County Bakery, be sure to meet Don and Jean Thompson, the people who own the Door County Bakery.
They take pride in what they've accomplished, and will be happy to answer any questions you might have about their bakery, fine wines, stained glass windows, the Back Door Studio, boating, tractors, and their love of Door County.
The Door County Bakery is also the place to enjoy breakfast and lunch.
Take a few minutes to browse our website and see why we say, "If you haven't been to the Door County Bakery, you haven't been to Door County."

We're often asked, what's the best part of our jobs.
While it's hard to pick from so many rewarding aspects of owning the bakery and meeting so many friends, we'd have to say the most favorite thing is watching someone taste our famous CORSICA LOAF for the first time.
There's nothing like seeing the expression on their faces as they enjoy the wonderful goodness of our custom french bread infused with olive oil.
We use a special stone-oven high-temperature baking process of DCB French dough within a bath of our custom blend of olive oils and sesame seeds.

What a great review of Don's album Walk On in the Door County Pulse.
Writer Jim Lundstrom provides a detailed and flattering description of Don's past vocal exploits in his 1975 album Jupiter, and then goes on to praise Donaldo's latest work, Walk On.
Describing the songs on the album, Lundstrom gives special attention to Christine Mild, a Chicago singer who among her many credits is known for Always.
Patsy Cline.
The way her voice meshes with Thompson's on the third track "Old Shoes" is truly amazing."
