Ideal Door Components, Incorporated was founded in 1991 by Chick and Carolyn Sales.
They have been a part of the Millwork Industry since 1961 where Chick started by working his way up the ladder from assembling pre-hung door units in the shop to outside sales calling on contractors in the greater Chicago area.
Next, it was on to the position of field sales at the distributor level of Huttig Building Products, and then as District Sales Manager for the Malta Window Division of Philips Industries in Ohio.

We have added a revised Body.
The new optional body features all of the same benefits as our Standard Door Plug however is constructed with a thinner wall, fewer interior threads and is manufactured in a more economical mold.
This new economic body will be shipped with our existing heavy-duty, anti-vibration, trouble-free bolt.
We recommend that the revised body system be used on lighter interior door units, while our existing higher-quality body can be used on either heavier interior or exterior door systems.

Chicks Corner Protectors are thicker than others available in the industry.
They are designed with a built-in cushion which makes the corner protector easier to remove; including the staple!
These corner protectors are manufactured with the same material used in parts of our Standard Door Plugs for added strength.
We are confident to claim that after extensive testing, Chicks Corner Protectors will never crack or break while attached to the door.
Protect the edges of your doors by simply stapling the corner protectors to the bottom two edges of the door.
