Midwest Window & Supply is a compilation of three generations of the Gilkey family, starting with Harry Gilkey, who ran a family farm and a general contracting company.
Harry's son Lee began building homes in the Fox Valley area in the early 1980's.
In 1985, Lee created Trim Works, Inc., specializing in custom millwork installation.
Lee's son Ken, who had worked in construction with his father since childhood, joined him in the family business and eventually took over day to day operations.
In 1987, Lee realized the value of a company that could supply AND install millwork, and Midwest Window & Supply was born.
