Church of the Open Door is a community of believers in Jesus Christ, firmly committed to the truths of God's Word and grace. Our desire is to cultivate a family atmosphere where we can all grow in grace. Our deepest desire is that Church of the Open Door be used by God to meet the spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of people in the San Gabriel Valley, and those in other regions and nations as well.
Since 1915, Church of the Open Door has been home to tremendous vision through a community of faith. For 70 years, we were located in downtown Los Angeles, often identified by the "Jesus Saves" signs, visible from the surrounding freeways. Through pastoral changes, campus changes, and world culture changes, our goal has remained the same: to share the good news of the Gospel and make disciples to Jesus Christ both here and around the world.
God has called Church of the Open Door to draw people to His Son so that His eternal purpose for every person can be realized. That's our mission - to help you know Jesus and His purpose for your life.

On Sunday mornings, we are offering care for your littles ones at the 9:45am and 11am service.
On Wednesday mornings, parents with littles are invited to come find community at our "CODlittles Our Time".
This interactive outdoor time is designed to encourage community for those with littles.
We meet at 10am at the nursery playground.

We explore the Gospel Project curriculum which focuses on teaching the inspired Word of God and making it relevant to each child as they become disciples of Jesus Christ.

Our Student Ministries (we call ourselves Hillside) exist to show students what it means to be a biblical disciple of Jesus Christ and to pursue the purpose and calling God has given to each one of us.
Come be a part of what God is doing up on the Hillside!
Our desire is to see our junior high students "walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God." (Colossians 1:10) It is our prayer that our students are falling deeply in love with the Lord Jesus Christ and building a spiritual foundation for a lifetime.

The purpose of Women's Ministries is to encourage among women the development of a vital relationship with Jesus Christ and a growing fellowship with one another in order to be equipped for ministry.
We involve many women in the planning and implementation of activities and events to encourage the development of leadership skills and spiritual gifts within our community.
The Men's Ministry's goal is to encourage and equip men in Christ through prayer, discipleship, fellowship and practical service.
