As a single, working mother of three, Beverly Gagnon has fought long and hard to become a homeowner.
She dreamed of providing her children a permanent, affordable place to live.
In 2012 she was granted a land lease from the Department of Hawaiian Homelands and immediately contacted Honolulu Habitat for Humanity (HHH) to apply.
Once her application was approved by the HHH board, Bev immediately signed up to perform her preliminary 50 hours of sweat equity.
The groundbreaking took place in June and the team at Discount Windows and Doors had the opportunity to meet Beverly and her parents while participating in a work day in October.
